Description:
The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and validating the webMethods (wM) packages currently implemented and must be able to develop new packages to aid in infrastructure changes based upon standards, templates and security requirements created by the wM product administrator. The candidate will assist current product support staff (administrative and development) in solving any performance problems that arise; mentor skills necessary to properly administrator and develop within wM, versions 7.1.2 and 8.0; and provide instruction on vital and necessary wM components, including development and implementation of web services as well as the installation, configuration and instruction associated with new wM components not yet leveraged within L&I (New components include Designer, Trading Networks, EDI Modules and Process Modeling).
The Developer will:
- Assist product administrator in the evaluation of wM product fixes and patches; testing and deploying as necessary through all environments in support of L&I projects; i.e., UCMS, CWDS and WCAIS.
- Assist product administrator with the installation and configuration of new wM components within all environments, from development through production that will be used by the WCAIS project. These components include Designer, Trading Networks, EDI Modules and Process Modeling.
- Document the Optimize for Infrastructure component and assist wM product administrator with plan for implementation and use.
- Review the existing packages supported and provide product developer with basic knowledge of development in terms of troubleshooting and changing code and/or fixing code bugs as necessary.
- Assist in documenting the wM Enterprise packages, including DLI_ADMIN, DLI_LOGGING, DLI_SHARED, DLI_Public, and DLI_UCMS_PAWage as well as those associated with GEO Coding.
- Assist in analyzing CentraSite ActiveSOA and (1) make recommendations for implementing the tool at the Enterprise level; (2) assist in designing the proper architecture of the tool; and (3) assist in planning for the use of the tool.
- Develop and assist wM development staff in developing web services, testing and debugging web services for Enterprise use, establishing project maintenance of the web services, documentation of the web services, and developing a process for the re-use of web services associated with CentraSite ActiveSOA.
- Assist product administrator in updating the current Disaster Recovery plan; and with conducting the performance tests associated with ongoing validation of that plan.
- Assist in reconfiguration of MyWebMethods server to aid in day-to-day administration.
- Work with product Administrator and product Developer to enhance their abilities to review and troubleshoot wM flow services and/or code.
- Assist in the solution(s) to any problem(s) that might arise, such that the Administrator and/or Developer can fix them with confidence in the absence of professional assistance.
- Provide instruction to newly hired administrative support positions (two vacancies) on vital and necessary components and packages within wM.
- Assist in documenting procedures and best practices for wM administrators and developers.
- Assist in day-to-day administration and/or operations; e.g., deployment packages and providing support to project staff.
- Develop web services for upcoming enterprise project releases.
- Assist wM administrator, developer and support staff with the development and oversight necessary to stand up new projects within the wM v. 8.0 environment.
- Assist wM administrator, developer and support staff with the development and oversight necessary to ensure successful deployments for those enterprise projects and applications currently leveraging the wM product.
- Working knowledge/experience with wM v. 8.0; packages and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge/experience planning and implementing upgrades.
- Working knowledge of and experience with wM v. 7.1.2.
- Demonstrated experience creating packages withing wM v. 7.1.2 and v. 8.0.
- Demonstrated work experience with Integration Server and MywebMethods Server.
- Ability to debug performance issues in wM v. 7.1.2 and v. 8.0.
- Mentor administrators/developers in using wM v. 7.1.2 and v. 8.0.
- Demonstrated knowledge and use of advance Java and garbage collectors.
- Demonstrated ability to research/deploy new wM components within Enterprise.
